Palliative Care

Palliative care is patient and family-centered care that optimizes quality of life by treating and preventing suffering. The primary purpose of quality palliative care for seriously ill patients is to provide pain and symptom management through an interdisciplinary support system. We use patient-centered evaluation and treatments, which include palliative care conversations with the family and patient, in focusing on achievable goals of care and addressing challenging medical decisions.
